Faith Based Counseling

"A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken"
Eccl 4:12.

Christian faith based counseling is for those that are specifically seeking to incorporate a biblical worldview into their journey to overcoming struggles in personal or spiritual growth that are blurring direction and purpose. Whether experiencing difficulties in marriage, relationship, or in work environments, by applying integrative therapy methods, viewing struggles from a biblical perspective, and applying God's truth to what you are struggling with, together, we can build an alliance for hope, healing, & purpose, uncovering belief patterns and perceptions that are holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life that God has planned for you.

Statement of Faith

I believe in God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit as the one triune God that lives eternal and has provided the Bible which is His inspired, authoritative word. The word provides truth, correction, direction, and purpose for all people that choose to adjust their lives to its authority and no matter what we have done wrong, by grace (getting something we do not deserve) through faith in Jesus, we can be reconnected back to an intimate relationship with God (Romans 6:8). This relationship with God is an example of how to be in relationship with each other and through a therapeutic alliance with a counselor, God, and client, the Holy Spirit can move within that relationship to relieve the pain caused by sin and enhance lives to be lived in joy with hope and peace in abundance.

"I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit"
Rom 15:13
My Faith Journey
I too came to the beginning of my end and mustered up the strength to seek help for my pain. For many years, I unknowingly struggled with anxiety and obsessive behaviors. To relieve the symptoms of the anxiety, I turned to unhealthy coping mechanisms such as drinking, obsessive controlling behaviors, isolation, and relationship seeking. After many failed relationships and years of carrying feelings of overwhelm, guilt, regret, hopelessness, and disappointment, I made the choice to begin to surrender my life to God and build a relationship with Jesus Christ. As I began living this new life, I falsely believed that my life would miraculously get better. Admittedly, right away, it did not. In fact, I fell deeper into anxiety and depression and lived in abuse. However, as I continued to cling to God, he strengthened me (2 Timothy 4:17), I began to learn what it was to be in a true relationship, and my relationships began to change. As a result, through the redemption of my diversities, I want to share this gift of relationship, love, and freedom with others.

Currently, I continue my walk with God through Bible study, connecting with nature, and spending time with family and friends. I enjoy hiking, learning, and spending time with horses and donkeys (Smile). Mostly, I enjoy hanging out with my husband, cooking big meals for my family, and feeling the exhilaration of being used by God to reach a lost and broken world.
